 | Andy John Bradford Award Winning Singer/Songwriter For over 30 years Andy John Bradford has been wowing audiences around the world with styles ranging from Folk to Rock to Pop. With a tune always in his mind, Andy is always writing something and always has something to say on the world that he lives in. Andy is a people watcher and often writes about the people he sees in the street. From the man in the station, to the eccentric in the street, to the lonely person hiding in the shadows. "everything and everyone has a story, even if they don't know about it yet" Says Andy as he talks to me. Andy often writes about the Sea. "The Sea is always calling me, I remember putting my ear on a shell when I was a child in Nottingham and being hooked at the call I heard from them on. I feel happy when I'm at the coast and at peace. The air calms me and puts my over active mind at ease. It's also amazing what you can write when your mind is at rest, which is why I love living close to the sea. I used to live closer, Less than 300 yards,) but sadly life got in the way. Still I'm only 14 miles away and get to go there every week. Most of my songs at the moment involve something to do with the Sea in some way or another be it as a physical character in the story I'm singing, or as a metaphor painting an image for the listener as I go". Andy has played with some of the best in the business and has worked with some truly great artists including world renowned Singer, Christy Moore. And Bradford Band Custers Last Band. Andy has also written with Grammy Nominated Artist Vinnie James, Award winning Singer/Songwriter, Jed McConkey, and award winning Singer/Songwriter Martin Dawson. As a performer, he has played up and down the country and has even played along the famous Northern Club Circuit.
